We plan to get there by making organic food and environmental stewardship a part of learning through school-ground organic community food gardens. We’re thrilled to partner up with Evergreen to provide communities across Canada with the support and information kit to plant and cultivate organic food gardens at their schools.
School food gardens start with communities coming together. Students, teachers, parents and community volunteers join forces to grow a better tomorrow. Students get a hands-on education in organic food production, learn about nutrition, and the value of collaboration and community – all while having good old-fashioned, hands in the dirt, fun. Schools get access to nutritious, great tasting, organic food. Communities get a chance to connect. All of us get a chance at a sustainable future.
We want to see the So Nice and Evergreen school-ground organic community food gardens initiative grow across Canada. Research tells us that it will make a considerable positive impact on children’s focus on nutrition and healthy foods, as well as their physical health and well-being. With the support of consumers like you, we’ll be able to grow our support, and, with a hands-on approach, bring learning opportunities to life for students.
We’re committed to donating a portion of sales from each So Nice product to the school-ground organic food gardens initiative. Together with Evergreen, we hope to actively inspire the next generation of Canadians to respect and protect the environment while rediscovering the joy of healthy, nutritious, organic food that’s grown where we live.
